MVKF knows no boundaries when it comes to training. Whether you are committed to training year round for a lifetime, or a New Year’s Resolution has fallen by the wayside, we have a place for you!  

Shotokan Karate:

BENEFITS—ADULTS:
Karate is a challenging and worthwhile way to get in shape. It builds stamina and
muscle strength. Karate provides an aerobic as well as an anaerobic form of exercise while at the same time teaching self-defense. It is excellent for improving coordination as well as building self-confidence in people of all ages.

BENEFITS---YOUTH:
KARATE is great for kids. It teaches discipline, improves self-esteem, channels aggression, enhances assertiveness and develops lifetime self-defense and safety skills. Here at MVKF we talk about ways to make ourselves the best person we can be in every class. Anger management and how to deal with conflict are discussed along with regular karate skills. Proper etiquette inside and outside the
training hall is stressed and students do not promote to the next belt rank without positive reports from both parents and teachers.   

Fitness Classes:

Challenge your own individual fitness level with a balanced blend of cardio, muscle conditioning and stretching all choreographed to a blend of great music. The support this group has for everyone who gets involved is very motivating.

Zumba:

If dancing is more your thing, come join the Zumba Party held at MVKF.
